Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Assayer Network ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information on this website at assayernetwork.com ("the Site"). The Site is the network home for our three mastheads: Bell Wire, Orecast Intelligence and The Market Floor. Each masthead has its own privacy policy covering data collected on its own site. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

1. What We Collect

The Site collects very little.

Correspondence. If you email us, we receive your name, email address and the content of your message. The Site has no forms, no accounts and no newsletter sign-up.

Technical data. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare's infrastructure, which may process technical information such as IP addresses to serve and secure the Site.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or browser fingerprinting.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use correspondence only to respond to your enquiry and to keep a record of our dealings where reasonably necessary. We do not use your personal information for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell, rent or trade it to any third party.

3. Third-Party Services

Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) hosts the Site. Google Fonts (fonts.google.com) provides typefaces used on the Site, and Google may collect anonymous usage data when fonts are loaded. Their privacy policies are available at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy and policies.google.com/privacy.

4. Data Retention

Email correspondence is held for up to 24 months unless an enquiry is ongoing or a longer period is reasonably necessary for our records.

5. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, or request deletion. Email privacy@assayernetwork.com to make a request.

If you are not satisfied with our response to a privacy complaint, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when published on this page, and material changes will be noted in the date at the top.
